In September, when garden clubs begin meeting, think about honoring someone in your club with a paver installed in the Path of Success located at National Garden Clubs’ headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. The brick pathway connects NGC headquarters with the Missouri Botanical Garden that is ¼ mile away. This NGC fundraiser was begun by NGC past president, Brenda Moore, in 2024. Since then, pavers have been purchased and installed throughout the path, but there’s room for more! The project has been extended to offer more garden clubs and their members the opportunity to honor someone special with a paver.
Engraved pavers can be purchased by garden club districts, garden clubs, individual garden club members, and the public. A paver has three lines that can be engraved with a message, an honoree’s name, a garden club’s name, etc. Each state has a reserved section that makes it easy for someone to find their paver by going to their state’s section. Presently, Arizona has eleven pavers installed, including an AFGC Garden Clubs state paver.

The Path of Success encourages people who are visiting the Missouri Botanical Garden to also visit NGC Headquarters by following the red brick road to NGC headquarters to find out more about NGC’s history and mission.
