Go Wild, Go Green, Go Garden!

Challenge Wall Rules and Club Awards Criteria

The President’s Challenge 2025-2027 includes in part the Challenge Wall educational component. This material is intended for as wide of an audience as AFGC can reach in its promotion through this website, its social media, emails, newsletters and business meetings. The material was selected based on being relevant to the State of Arizona with its multiple microclimates and environmental challenges.

Earn a Token for Each Correct Answer!

The Challenge Wall includes surveys associated with each focus area. Each survey has multiple choice questions and answers where only one choice is considered correct. The answers are based entirely upon language that exists on the Challenge Wall webpage; it will not be necessary to search for answers on websites other than azgardenclubs.com.

Definition: “Clubs” is used as an all encompassing term to include Garden Clubs and Plant Societies.

Survey Rules:

  1. Anyone may choose to participate in the surveys whether you are a club member or in another state or just an interested gardener.
  2. Surveys are “open book” so go ahead and look back at the material presented in the focus area.
  3. You may choose to associate your survey submission with an AFGC garden club or plant society in order to earn tokens towards a club award.
  4. Surveys submitted without being associated with an AFGC garden club or plant society will not be counted in the club awards.
  5. You can submit a survey multiple times if you wish but your token per question will only be counted once. Submitting duplicate surveys with correct answers will not increase your club’s token count.
  6. Upon each submission of each survey, you will receive a receipt of your answers sent to the email that you provided.
  7. If you are a club member in an NGC federated club in a state other than Arizona, then you may choose to associate your survey submission with your federated garden club by selecting “Other” and typing in the full club name and state. AFGC will count your tokens and notify your NGC Region Director of your club’s participation.

President’s Challenge 2025-2027
The Challenge Wall

In pursuit of self-enrichment and awareness, I challenge every member to read up on relevant issues that affect our lives, our gardens and the future of the environment.

The Challenge Wall is meant to inspire discussions and further interest in what is going on and who is doing what. You may earn tokens for correct responses towards a Club Badge …and cash prizes for AFGC clubs in good standing. This is completely “open book” and I encourage you to work with others to answer these questions. Each area is associated with a 3 question survey. Answer the survey questions to earn tokens for your club.

There will be 2 Challenge Sets and each set will include 4 surveys, one for each Focus Area :

  • Challenge Set #1 will open from October 1st, 2025, through April 1st, 2026, with Club Awards presented at 92nd Annual Meeting on April 23rd, 2026.
  • Challenge Set #2 will open from October 1st, 2026 through April 1st, 2027, with Club Awards and Club Badges presented at the AFGC Biennial State Convention 2027.

Refer to the rules and criteria above for more information.

May your garden always be in bloom!
