Phoenix Chrysanthemum Society and AFGC to Host Upcoming Flower Show

 

The Phoenix Chrysanthemum Society and AFGC will present “Treasures of the Garden” Standard Flower Show. The flower show will be held at the Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8050 E Mountain View Rd, Scottsdale, AZ. The Chrysanthemum Show is open to the public on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 10 am to 4 pm.

Design entries will be accepted at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8050 E Mountain View Rd, Scottsdale, AZ, on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday, November 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and must remain in the Flower Show until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23. Entries in the Design Division must be pre-registered with the Design Chairman, Renee Waite, flowershowcrazy@gmail.com

Judging will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, November 22nd, 2024. Judging of the Design Division will be by the NGC Standard System of Awarding found in the Handbook For Flower Shows p. 5.

Photo 1: This is the 2023 Award of Design Excellence design created by Mickie Rustad. Her Angular Design is staged in a space 40″ high by 30″ wide.

Photo 2: These beautiful Petite floral designs were exhibited in 2023 by (L to R) Beth Kirkpatrick, Amy Emary, Mary Lou Millstead, and Barb Brumley. Each miniature designs is only 8″ high by 6″ wide.
