History
Originally it was placed at the Veteran’s site in Tucson along U.S. 80 South at 6th Street near the junction with I10. When the AZ Highway Department needed that location, the marker was moved and held in storage until 2002, when the above site was opened. The Blue Star Highway marker was placed along a walkway garden area dedicated to the “Lost at Sea and Scattered Remains”.
