As our garden clubs begin their busiest time of the year, I hope each and every member makes a silent pledge to be active in their club. Attend your club’s monthly meetings and get to know the other wonderful members, volunteer to help with your club’s community projects, bring refreshments to meetings when asked, make visitors feel welcome when they attend meetings, join committees to work on special club projects, and become an active member in your club.
Each member is a precious part of their club. By working together, members become a team that helps their club be successful.
Participate in flower shows.
Participate in Arbor Day tree plantings.
Participate in field trips with students.
Participate in community gardens.
Participate in youth education programs.
Participate in special events.
