All garden club members are cordially invited to attend both the AFGC state convention held on Sunday April 27th and Pacific Region Garden Clubs convention held April 28th-30th at the Wyndham Phoenix Airport / Tempe, 1600 S 52nd St, Tempe, AZ 85281.
Registration opens January 15th at https://azgardenclubs.com/conventions.
A hotel room can be booked at the link provided on the conventions webpage.

The convention’s theme is Wild and Water Wise. Keynote speakers will highlight Arizona’s Water Conservation District, the National Forest Service, and the world-famous Boyce Thompson Arboretum. You won’t be bored since there will be lots of make-and-take workshops, tours of local gardens and landmark sites, and delicious meals where you can meet other garden club members from Pacific Region’s eight states. Educational sessions on a variety of topics, such as making herbal teas and birding will also be held. There will be a floral design demonstration by renowned designer, Brent Leech, and a membership workshop presented by Pacific Region’s own Robin Pokorski.

For those interested in learning more about floral design, outstanding floral arrangements created by members from around the state will be exhibited in the “Art in Bloom” flower show, and a hands-on floral design class will provide an opportunity to try your hand at making an arrangement. If you’re lucky, you might win one of the terrific gift baskets made by our state garden clubs that will be raffled off. You can also purchase raffle tickets for special one-of-a-kind items and bid on high-end items in the silent auction.

The AFGC annual meeting and installation of incoming 2025-27 AFGC officers will be held on Sunday, April 27. The Pacific Region annual meeting will be held Wednesday, April 30.

You’ll be amazed at all that is happening during the 2025 convention. The schedule of events is found at https://azgardenclubs.com/conventions/.

For those arriving early, on April 26th there are two tours offered: a hands-on workshop pollinating palm trees at ASU Polytechnic Campus and a guided tour of Boyce Thompson Arboretum. For those staying late, on May 1st there is a tour of beautiful Sedona and lunch at a garden club member’s home. A short hike along Oak Creek is also offered.

The convention is a fabulous opportunity to learn from speakers who are experts in their field, meet garden club members from throughout Pacific Region, enjoy a flower show with floral designs created by top designers, attend fun make-and-take activities, tour famous gardens and landmarks, and be inspired by garden club members who are eager to share information about their clubs with you.

Take time NOW to register and support our AFGC organization that has worked diligently to make both conventions exciting and memorable.
