At the December 6th meeting of Desert Designers, President Mickie Rustad curated a stunning selection of blooms and evergreen foliage, allowing each member to craft their own individual floral arrangement. The floral materials included carnations, chrysanthemums, alstroemeria, and baby’s breath. Each member brought a favorite container from home, resulting in a collection of unique and beautiful winter designs. This gathering provided a delightful opportunity for creativity, inspiration, and friendship.
Members participating in the December meeting included Barbara Boehn, Amy Emary, Rea Heesch, Millie Hisey, Judy Kennedy, Ann Kronenwetter, Carol Parrott, Mickie Rustad, Lucy Samuels, Lenda Sundene, and Renee Waite.
The completed arrangements showcased a variety of design types, including mass, line, multi-rhythm, horizontal, and vertical compositions. This variety highlighted the members’ ability to create original designs using the same floral materials.
Desert Designers, a floral design group, meets on the first Friday of each month at 10:00 am from October through April at the Pyle Adult Recreation Center in Tempe. Anyone interested in joining a floral design group is encouraged to contact desertdesignersgardenclub@gmail.com.
