Pacific Region Garden Clubs was formed in 1933 as one of eight regions comprising National Council of Garden Clubs (now called National Garden Clubs). Headquartered in Naches, Washington, originally, only five states made up Pacific Region: California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Idaho. Later, Nevada, Alaska and Hawaii joined. Currently, Pacific Region is comprised of six states: California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Alaska and Nevada, with Idaho and Hawaii ending their memberships.

Pacific Region brings together all NGC garden clubs located in the pacific region of the United States to provide education, resources and networking to its members. Pacific Region sponsors youth programs and scholarships, community landscaping projects, environmental education, and conventions that help members connect with each other. The first Pacific Region convention was held in Portland, Oregon, in 1936. The second was held in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1937. The 2026 convention will be held Oct. 12-14 at Thousand Oaks, CA. The link for more information and to register is Convention 2026.

Throughout its 93 years, Pacific Region Garden Clubs has continued to support its members and garden clubs with their community service projects and educational activities that inform the public about environmental and horticultural information.
