Another garden club year is coming to an end, and I have enjoyed another year as AFGC Greenleaf Blog manager. Since I began the position in 2024, 121 blogs have been posted, many from our own AFGC members. I wish to thank all members who have taken time to write blogs. Your blogs make the website informative and fun to read.
The purpose of a blog is to share activities your garden club is sponsoring throughout the year, as well as horticulture-related information. From the history of apples to the first gold star memorial by-way marker erected in Yuma and sponsored by Yuma Orchid and African Violet Society, the blogs have been varied and always interesting.
Our members are invited to continue sending blogs. If you have questions about what a blog entails, there are six blogs describing the process posted on the Greenleaf Blog website.
The blog titles and pages are listed below:
Guidelines for Writing a Blog (p. 2) Blog Guidelines (p. 4) Copyright Laws for Blogs (p. 7) Let’s Get Blogging (p. 9) How to Send an AFGC Blog to be Posted (p. 15) AFGC Blog Format (p. 30)
Contact me if you have any questions at my personal email or azgardenblog@gmail.com. I am always happy to work with anyone on their blog and can also furnish photos.
